Man Found Dead After Fall At Fish Pond In Batu Kurau

A man in his 40s was found dead after reportedly falling at his fish pond in Kampung Sungai Nangka Jelai here on Tuesday night.

The Perak Fire and Rescue Department said it received a distress call regarding the incident at 8.02pm. A team from the Batu Kurau fire station was immediately dispatched and arrived at the location 16 minutes later.

Assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said firefighters discovered the victim lying unconscious near the edge of the pond upon arrival.

Medical personnel who assessed the man at the scene later confirmed that he had passed away. The body was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary procedures.

The operation concluded at 9.38pm.
