Five Areas In Kedah On Heatwave Alert As Temperatures Soar

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a Level One alert for five areas in Kedah amid a persistent heatwave across Peninsular Malaysia.

The affected districts are Pokok Sena, Pendang, Baling, Padang Terap, and Kulim.

MetMalaysia explained that a Level One alert is declared when daily maximum temperatures reach 35 to 37 degrees Celsius for at least three consecutive days.

Members of the public are advised to monitor the latest heatwave updates through MetMalaysia’s official portal at https://www.met.gov.my/iklim/status-cuaca-panas/
