Couple Found Dead In Sunway SPK Damansara Home, Police Probe Murder-Suicide

Date:

A domestic dispute is believed to have ended in tragedy after a husband and wife were discovered dead inside their home in Sunway SPK Damansara, Kepong, yesterday.

Police were alerted to the incident at 11.43am following a MERS 999 emergency call reporting the discovery of two bodies. Sentul district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said officers who arrived at the scene found the victims in a room stained with blood.

The 54-year-old man was found with a stab wound to the neck. Nearby, the body of his 52-year-old wife was discovered on the floor with multiple injuries — 10 stab wounds to the neck, one to the left hand and two to the body.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident may have stemmed from a misunderstanding between the couple. Authorities are probing the case as a suspected murder-suicide.

Both bodies were sent to the Forensic Unit of Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem examinations scheduled at 9am today to determine the exact cause of death.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
