A couple from Selangor has won RM23.53 million in the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 game after placing a modest RM2 standard bet using the last four digits of their family members’ identity card numbers.
The 49-year-old marketing manager and her 66-year-old boyfriend selected the numbers 6777 and 5085, combinations they had reportedly been playing consistently for years. Despite their long-standing routine, the pair said they never expected the numbers to deliver such a windfall.
The woman shared that she usually purchases the tickets, while her partner is responsible for choosing and recording the numbers. On average, she spends between RM200 and RM300 each time she visits a Toto outlet.
“We have been playing these numbers for many years and never imagined they would one day bring us such a life-changing win,” she said.
Describing the jackpot as a timely “big ang pow” ahead of Chinese New Year, the couple plans to use the prize money to expand their business, purchase a new home and build up their savings for the future.
