Cabinet Sets Up Special Committee to Investigate Allegations Against MACC Chief Azam Baki

The Cabinet has agreed to set up a special committee to examine allegations linked to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki over his past shareholdings in a financial services company.

The committee will be chaired by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

Government spokesman Datuk Fahmi Fadzil confirmed that the matter was deliberated during today’s Cabinet meeting.
