Man, 67, Arrested Over Vandalism Of 12 ATMs In Sentul

Date:

Police have detained a 67-year-old man believed to be responsible for vandalising 12 automated teller machines (ATMs) in the Sentul district.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Basri Sagoni said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday (Feb 18) following investigations into several reports lodged over damaged ATM screens, according to The Star.

Preliminary questioning revealed that the man allegedly acted out of frustration after repeatedly failing to withdraw cash from one of the machines.

The arrest has enabled police to clear five previously reported cases involving cracked ATM screens in the area.

Authorities confirmed that no cash was taken from any of the affected machines.
