Immigration Department Denies Viral ‘Malaysia Passport & MyKad 2026’ Poster

Date:

The Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia (JIM) has denied any involvement in the circulation of a poster titled “New: Malaysia Passport & MyKad 2026”, which has recently gone viral on social media platforms.

In a statement, the department said it views the matter seriously, particularly as the poster falsely references JIM’s official website as a source of information.

JIM clarified that the poster was not issued by the department and that the content and details presented are inaccurate, unauthorised and do not represent any official announcement.

The department urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified information and to rely solely on its official communication channels for accurate and legitimate updates regarding Malaysian passports or policy announcements.

It added that any official developments would be announced through its website and verified social media platforms to ensure the public receives authentic information.
