A seven-month-old kitten in Alabama has captured widespread attention online after being born with two pairs of ears, according to a report by United Press International.
The black kitten, named Dobby, has an additional smaller set of ears positioned behind its normal pair — a rare physical trait that has intrigued animal lovers across social media platforms.
Stephanie Brown, a caretaker with Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue, said the extra ears do not pose any health concerns and that Dobby’s hearing remains normal. She also noted that the kitten has a short, curly tail, adding to its distinctive appearance.
Dobby quickly became an internet sensation after Brown shared photos and videos of the feline on Instagram and Reddit, drawing thousands of reactions and comments from users fascinated by its unusual features.
While Dobby will require surgery to correct the additional appendage, Brown said the kitten is expected to be available for adoption soon through Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue.
