Tengku Zafrul Appointed Senior Political Adviser To Prime Minister

Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has been appointed as the Senior Political Adviser to the Prime Minister for a two-year term, effective today.

The announcement was made through a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Malaysia.

The appointment received the approval of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister. “This appointment fills the vacancy of the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister.

At the same time, the Prime Minister hopes Tengku Zafrul will carry out this mandate diligently and with humility, for the prosperity of the nation and the welfare of the people,” the statement read on Wednesday.

Tengku Zafrul previously served as Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and has extensive experience in finance and economic development, having held the position of Finance Minister in March 2020.
