Federal Route FT008 along the Gua Musang-Merapoh stretch will be closed for eight days from tomorrow until 14 March to facilitate resurfacing works on a diversion near Taman Wangi.
The closure is part of the ongoing Central Spine Road Project (Projek Lingkaran Tengah Utama, LTU) covering Packages 3B and 3C in the area.
Kelantan Public Works Department (JKR Kelantan) Director, Nik Badlihisham Nik Ismail, said the closure affects both directions from the Taman Wangi junction to the Gua Musang Hospital junction.
“During this period, road users are advised to plan their trips in advance, comply with safety signage, and follow instructions from personnel on site to ensure smooth traffic flow.
“The road is expected to reopen to all vehicles on 14 March after resurfacing works are completed,” he added.
Earlier reports by Kosmo! highlighted that damaged roads and traffic congestion along LTU Packages 3B and 3C in Gua Musang had drawn serious attention from the Ministry of Works following public complaints in recent weeks.
