Suspected Urn Theft at Perpetual Memorial Park Sparks Police Investigation

Perpetual Memorial Park in Kulai, Johor is under scrutiny after reports emerged on social media suggesting a possible theft of urns at the memorial park, drawing widespread public attention.

According to sources, the incident occurred last Friday (March 6) at the park’s columbarium, where over 10 urn niches were reportedly disturbed.

In response, the park’s management has initiated an internal investigation and lodged a police report, confirming full cooperation with authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and appropriate handling of the matter.

“Given the sensitive nature of this site, which involves the resting place of departed loved ones, we are approaching the situation with the utmost prudence and responsibility,” the management stated. “We are prioritising direct contact and communication with the affected families.”

The park further announced that a formal statement providing details of the incident and subsequent actions will be issued today. Management also thanked the public for their understanding and patience during this period.

Kulai police have confirmed receiving a report regarding the suspected theft and have launched an official probe into the matter.
