Date:

The Perlis state government has confirmed a special Aidilfitri financial assistance of RM1,500 for 2026, aimed at easing the festive expenses of its civil servants.

Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah stated that the one-off payment will be extended to all state civil servants, including permanent, contract, temporary, and MyStep staff, and is scheduled for disbursement on March 13.

Speaking at the state administration monthly assembly at the Banquet Hall of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly Complex, Abu Bakar said the initiative is a gesture of appreciation for the dedication and service of the civil servants.

“I hope this contribution will help ease the financial burden as our civil servants prepare to celebrate Aidilfitri,” he said. “It is also expected to boost morale and encourage everyone to continue delivering their best service to the people.”

The Menteri Besar added that the assistance reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of its workforce. “This contribution demonstrates our dedication to ensuring civil servants remain motivated to provide excellent service for the well-being of the people of Perlis,” he affirmed.
