Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to unveil a series of initiatives aimed at benefiting Malaysians ahead of the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that the announcements form part of the government’s ongoing commitment to prioritise the welfare of the people.
“These efforts align with our resolve to build a fairer, more prosperous, and compassionate nation. Insya-Allah, the Prime Minister will be announcing further good news for the rakyat in the lead-up to Aidilfitri,” the statement read on Monday.
The announcement follows seven immediate intervention measures introduced by Anwar to help ease the financial burden on citizens. The initiatives aim to allow Malaysians to prepare for Aidilfitri with greater peace of mind and significance.
Key measures include the early disbursement of the second phase of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) starting Tuesday, as well as the distribution of the 2026 Special Financial Assistance for civil servants, retirees, veterans, religious leaders, bilals, and KAFA teachers.
Additionally, the government plans to expand the nationwide Program Jualan Rahmah MADANI sales series and broaden the FlySiswa flight subsidy initiative, the statement added.
The Prime Minister’s Office expressed hope that these measures would help alleviate the rising cost of living pressures and allow Malaysians to prepare meaningfully for the Aidilfitri celebrations.
