Kelantan police have recorded statements from more than 10 people as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of a female trainee doctor at Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai.
Kelantan police chief, Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat, said those interviewed include the victim’s family, friends, and lecturers. He added that, so far, there is no indication of any criminal involvement, and investigations remain ongoing.
“The case has been transferred to the Kelantan police contingent headquarters for a more thorough probe to determine the exact cause of death,” he said, noting that reports suggesting the victim may have been under stress are also being examined as part of the investigation.
The trainee doctor was discovered deceased in a hospital room on Friday morning.
Kuala Krai police chief, Supt Mazlan Mamat, confirmed that police were notified at 9:55 am, prompting officers from the district Criminal Investigation Division and the local police station to respond immediately.
