A man’s attempt to celebrate with fireworks in front of his house quickly turned disastrous when sparks ignited nearby dry grass and trees, triggering a fast-spreading wildfire.
Footage circulating on social media shows the man preparing the fireworks, which shot into the air and scattered embers across the dry area, intensified by light winds.

What began as small flames rapidly escalated into a large blaze, threatening nearby homes and causing chaos in the neighbourhood. The man reportedly fled back inside his house as the fire spread.

Firefighters arrived promptly with a fire engine, battling the flames until the fire was extinguished. The video has sparked public outrage online, with netizens criticising the man’s lack of safety awareness. Many warned that residential fireworks are highly dangerous and called for stricter regulations or bans in housing areas to prevent similar incidents.
Comments included: “Running away won’t solve anything. You’ve endangered others and forced firefighters and police to intervene. Think about the harm you’ve caused your neighbours’ celebrations.”
