A mother shared her shock after discovering her child had given RM200 to a school friend without prior notice.
In a post on Threads, user @nurnaraamira uploaded a screenshot of a WhatsApp exchange with another parent. The message read: “Assalamualaikum puan, boleh tak puan tanya Luth ada tak Raziq bagi dia duit? Dia memang suka bagi orang duit, pening saya. Bukan seorang ya dia bagi, saya nak pengsan rasa.”
Curious, the mother asked her child about the money. “I was dizzy with my second child… first it was pencil boxes, sharpeners… now it’s money. I saw Raziq’s mom’s message after sahur and asked, ‘Lutu, did Raziq give you money? How much? How many notes?’” she recounted.
The post drew widespread reactions from netizens who shared similar stories of generous children at school. Hasmiza said, “My child, back in Year 3, 2024, gave away their saved Raya money from a special pouch at school.” Noraini Samli recalled, “When my child was five, they gave a friend RM400 from Raya money. I panicked, gave back RM10, but the child said ‘no, it’s already given RM100, four notes!’ I nearly fainted.”
The viral thread highlights how children’s innocent generosity can sometimes leave parents stunned.
