A man had a frightening encounter after he was chased by a woman believed to be homeless while crossing a footbridge in Johor Bahru.
The incident went viral after the man shared a video on Threads under the account @Fvrizuvnrazali117, which has since received more than 23,400 likes.
In the video, the man can be seen walking across the footbridge before noticing the woman approaching from behind while carrying a cardboard box.
The situation quickly turned tense when the woman began running after him before throwing the box, prompting the man to run away.
“Salam, she thought I wouldn’t dare walk past her. But even typing this Thread makes me tremble. Near Toppen JB, I thought she had already boarded the bus. Turns out she hadn’t,” he wrote.
The man claimed the woman was frequently seen in the area and said he had encountered her before.
Another Threads user, @Nrainarzali, claimed to have encountered the same woman, saying she often took buses before getting off near Dato’ Onn.
“Guys, she often takes the bus and then gets off near Dato’ Onn. On the bus, she talks to herself, shouting as if she’s angry. It’s frightening,” the user wrote.
The post drew various reactions online, with some users saying they were shocked to see the man being chased.
“If it’s like this, we’ll be afraid to use the footbridge too. Better to cross the road normally,” @Asyraf commented.
“Hopefully JKM will look into this. Sometimes you can ignore it, but if she becomes aggressive one day and ends up hurting someone, it could become a serious problem,” @Lina commented.
