Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged the Sarawak state government to support federal authorities in addressing the issue of diesel smuggling across its borders.
He said he personally requested Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to work closely with enforcement agencies, including the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) state-level MADANI breaking-of-fast ceremony at Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak this evening.
Separately, he reaffirmed that the MADANI Government will maintain the RON95 petrol subsidy under the BUDI95 programme RM150 million for remedial work on the Sungai Sarawak Barrage
