Woman Found Dead at Home, Police Investigate Sudden Death

Date:

A 58-year-old woman was found dead in the living room of her home last night, with police currently investigating the case as a sudden death.

The incident occurred at 7:44 PM in a residential unit at Taman Melur, Batu 8, Kuala Sungai Baru. Deputy Police Chief of the Ayer Molek district, Azru, confirmed the deceased as Wan Mahaning from Negeri Sembilan.

After receiving a report from a member of the public, police and nine firefighters from the Majdanah Fire Department rushed to the scene. The front door was securely locked, so firefighters had to forcibly break in to enter the house.

“The deceased was found lying inside the dining area. Her body was sent to Ayer Molek Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary checks found no signs of foul play,” Azru said.

However, the full autopsy report is not yet complete, and police will continue their investigation. Authorities urge the public to avoid speculation to prevent interfering with the investigation.
