Football fans travelling with Singapore Airlines during the upcoming World Cup season will be able to catch live matches onboard selected flights, the airline announced on Tuesday (April 7).
The carrier said passengers will have access to live broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup through Sport 24 on KrisWorld Live TV, available from June 11 to July 19.
The service will be offered on all Boeing 787-10 and Boeing 737-8 aircraft, as well as selected Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER planes, covering a total of 41 A350-900 and eight 777-300ER aircraft.
However, Singapore Airlines noted that live coverage will depend on satellite availability, broadcaster agreements and regulatory approvals on specific flight routes.
“Bringing the excitement of the FIFA World Cup on board keeps our customers connected to one of the world’s biggest sporting events at 30,000 feet,” said Singapore Airlines senior vice president for customer experience Yeoh Phee Teik.
He added that the live football offering complements the airline’s KrisWorld entertainment lineup and reflects its commitment to enhancing the inflight experience.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In Singapore, Mediacorp has confirmed it will broadcast 28 matches free-to-air via Channel 5 and mewatch, including the opening match and the final.
