Malaysian politician Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has drawn attention with his wedding gifts to actress and singer Bella Astillah, offering seven trays of hantaran filled with thoughtful presents symbolising education, financial security and family well-being.
Among the most notable gifts was an opportunity for Bella to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication at Taylor’s University’s School of Media and Communication (SOMEC). The gesture reflects Syed Saddiq’s support for his wife’s education, career development and future aspirations.

He also reportedly prepared a fully equipped private family gym at their residence, allowing Bella and the children to exercise in a comfortable and private environment.
Another gift was a luxury massage chair set, intended not only for Bella but also as a gesture of appreciation for both his parents-in-law.
As the newlyweds share an interest in cycling, Syed Saddiq also presented Bella with a bicycle. The gift carried a sentimental message that he would continue supporting her and waiting for her at the finish line through every stage of life.
Financial security was another key theme of the wedding gifts. Syed Saddiq reportedly contributed RM100,000 to Bella through an Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contribution under the Islamic savings scheme, KWSP-i. The amount is projected to grow to RM500,000 by the time she reaches 60, based on the reported projection.
The remaining hantaran included a special ring, custom-made jewellery and an Umrah pilgrimage package, adding spiritual significance to the couple’s new chapter together.
Earlier, Syed Saddiq officially married Bella Astillah in a ceremony held at Level 118 of Menara Merdeka Maybank. The politician and the actress exchanged vows with a single pronouncement, marking the beginning of their married life.
