Chinese Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Biological Daughter, Denies All Charges

Date:

A 41-year-old Chinese technician was charged at the Ipoh Sessions Court with 52 counts of sexual offenses against his 18-year-old biological daughter, including rape, taking naked photos of her in the bathroom, fondling her breasts, and forcing her to perform oral sex. The accused denied all charges and protested his innocence during the hearing.

During his bail application, the accused expressed that the sexual assault charges have brought him great shame and damaged his dignity, leaving him feeling that life has lost its meaning. He admitted to experiencing suicidal thoughts due to the situation. He also revealed that his wife had taken money and left with their children, and that he now only has RM8,000 remaining. He requested a reduction in his bail sum.

The accused further stated his willingness to sell his car and house to hire a lawyer to clear his name and seek justice.

The accused appeared before Magistrate Hadliya today and denied all 52 charges. Bail was set at RM45,000, allowing him to be released pending trial. The next court date has been scheduled for September 18 to give the accused time to engage legal representation.

The charges date from May 12 to August 2 this year, related to incidents that allegedly occurred at a residence in Tambun Baru. He faces 17 counts of rape under Section 376B of the Penal Code. Additionally, he is charged with 34 counts of sexual molestation, including fondling and sucking the victim’s breasts and forcing her to suck his genitals, under Sections 14(b) and 14(a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017. He also faces 1 count of taking naked photos of the victim in the bathroom, violating Section 7 of the same Act.

The accused, appearing without legal counsel during his bail application, claimed he was an ordinary person who had fallen out with his family due to marrying his wife, and insisted he had been falsely accused, which caused him great distress.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohamad Isan requested the court to impose additional conditions on the accused, including prohibiting him from harassing the victim, requiring him to report to the nearby police station every two weeks, and surrendering his international passport until the case concludes.

The magistrate approved these conditions along with the bail set at RM45,000.
