Rapper Offset was shot on Monday (April 6) and is currently in stable condition, according to a spokesperson for the former Migos member, though his exact condition has not been disclosed.
He is receiving treatment at a hospital and is being closely monitored, the spokesperson said in a statement.
The Seminole Police Department confirmed that a person sustained non-life-threatening injuries on Monday evening at a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, although the victim was not identified.
Authorities said two individuals have been detained and investigations into the incident are ongoing. Police also stated that the area has been secured and there is no ongoing threat to public safety, with normal operations continuing.
Offset, who was formerly married to singer Cardi B and shares three children with her, rose to fame as part of the hip-hop trio Migos.
The group, known for its influential “triplet flow” style, gained global recognition with hits such as Versace and later received Grammy nominations for their 2018 album Culture.
Offset’s cousin and fellow Migos member Takeoff was previously killed in a shooting in 2022, marking another tragic incident linked to the group.
Offset and Cardi B married secretly in 2017 in Atlanta, and Cardi B later filed for divorce in 2024.
