Teen’s Pain Complaint Uncovers Alleged Hotel Rape By Boyfriend And Two Other Men In Tawau

Date:

A teenager’s visit to the hospital over pain in her private area has uncovered a disturbing alleged rape case involving three men at a hotel in Tawau. The 16-year-old victim is believed to have been assaulted by her boyfriend along with two other individuals in the incident.

The matter surfaced after the girl confided in her sister, prompting her to seek medical attention. Examinations later confirmed that the teenager was pregnant, adding urgency to the investigation and raising broader concerns about the protection of minors in vulnerable situations.

Tawau District Police Chief Jasmin Hussin said a police report was lodged after the victim admitted she had engaged in sexual activity with a man she knew at a hotel. Her disclosure led authorities to suspect the involvement of more than one individual.

Acting on the report, police from the district Criminal Investigation Division arrested two foreign men in their 30s along Jalan Patrick. Further investigations led to the detention of a third suspect, a 29-year-old foreign factory worker, who was apprehended in front of a premises at Batu 3, Jalan Apas.

All suspects are now in custody to assist investigations under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code as well as Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence to establish the full sequence of events, as the case underscores the importance of safeguarding young individuals from harm and exploitation.
