Ford Ranger Driver Seriously Injured In Three-Vehicle Crash Near Gopeng

A 46-year-old driver of a Ford Ranger sustained severe injuries in a crash involving three vehicles, including two container lorries, at KM302.4 of the North–South Expressway northbound near Gopeng at about 4.06am today.

According to Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Assistant Director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the victim’s vehicle collided with the rear of a container lorry, which had earlier crashed into another lorry in front.

The impact left the driver trapped inside the vehicle with serious injuries, while the two lorry drivers involved suffered only minor injuries.

Firefighters carried out a rescue operation using specialised equipment to extricate the trapped victim from the wreckage.

All three victims were transported to a nearby hospital using Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) units for further treatment.

Sabarodzi said the operation was fully concluded at 5.20am.
