Police in Selangor’s Petaling Jaya conducted two raids, arresting four suspects and seizing diesel worth RM602,220.
According to Superintendent Jefri Mohamad, commander of the 4th Battalion of the General Operations Force, the first operation took place on Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. along PJU 1/23 road in Petaling Jaya. Four men were arrested at the first location, including two locals and two Myanmar nationals.
“At the scene, police found 2,500 liters of diesel, two tractor-trailer heads, one lorry, four storage tanks, two suction pumps, and five mobile phones of various brands,” he said.
During a second raid, authorities seized an additional 8,000 liters of diesel, one fuel tank, one suction pump system, and several rubber hoses, believed to be used for the illegal transfer and storage of diesel.
All seized items have been taken to the Petaling Jaya police station. Investigations are ongoing under the 1961 Control of Supplies Act and the 1959/63 Immigration Act.
