Syed Saddiq Donates RM50,000 To SSPN Muar From Two Months’ Salary

Date:

Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has announced a RM50,000 contribution to the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) in Muar as part of ongoing efforts to support students’ educational needs in the constituency.

He said the amount, equivalent to two months of his salary as a Member of Parliament, will be channelled next week. The initiative forms part of a broader commitment to ensure that children in Muar, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, receive continued support in their education.

According to Syed Saddiq, the contribution is one of several measures undertaken to safeguard the welfare of Muar residents, especially in easing the financial burden faced by families when it comes to education. He added that efforts are also being made to secure additional resources to further strengthen these initiatives.

He revealed that a previous contribution of RM100,000 had already been channelled to SSPN, aimed at assisting children from low-income families in the area. Such consistent support reflects a sustained push to improve access to educational opportunities at the grassroots level.

In addition, more than 3,500 units of laptops and tablets have been distributed to students in need, enhancing access to digital learning tools. The move is seen as crucial in bridging the digital divide and ensuring no student is left behind in today’s increasingly technology-driven education landscape.

Syed Saddiq emphasised that these initiatives are part of his long-term commitment to developing the educational prospects of young people in Muar, reinforcing the importance of equal access to learning resources for all.
