Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza has reassured fans that she did not suffer any serious injuries following a road accident along the Maju Expressway (MEX) on Thursday, April 16.
The incident occurred while Siti and her entourage were travelling home after a performance in Sepang. News of the crash quickly spread on social media after images and videos surfaced showing the singer near the accident scene.
According to her management, the accident involved four vehicles, including the car carrying Siti. Her team said she was promptly taken out of the vehicle and brought into another car before being sent to hospital for medical checks.
Her manager later confirmed in an Instagram update that Siti sustained only a bruise on her foot. Medical examinations, including an X-ray, were conducted, and her condition was reported to be stable.
Siti herself later addressed fans in a video shared on her Instagram account, appearing alongside her son. She thanked supporters for their concern and prayers, describing the incident as a frightening experience.
“Thankfully, I don’t have any serious injuries, just a bruise on my leg,” she said, adding that her foot had been bandaged following treatment.
The singer also noted that she would need some rest but expressed hope for a quick recovery as she has upcoming commitments and events to attend.
