Quick-Thinking Firefighters Run 300 Metres To Save Two In Pendang Food Court Fire

Date:

Two Kedah firefighters, PB Athir and PB Anas, acted swiftly to rescue an elderly man and a woman who were trapped in a kitchen fire at a food court in Pendang on Saturday evening.

The incident is believed to have been caused by a detached gas hose, which quickly sparked the blaze in the cooking area. The situation could have turned far more serious without the quick response of the firefighters on scene.

In a remarkable act of dedication, both firefighters ran প্রায় 300 metres to a nearby mosque to obtain a fire extinguisher after discovering that no firefighting equipment was available at the location. Their quick thinking proved crucial in preventing the fire from spreading further.

The victims were successfully brought to safety, and the fire was eventually brought under control. The incident highlights the importance of proper safety measures and accessible emergency equipment in public spaces.

Their bravery and commitment have since drawn praise, with many commending the firefighters for going above and beyond the call of duty to save lives.
