PKR Tuaran Branch Calls For Rafizi Ramli’s Expulsion In Shock AGM Motion

Date:

A Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Tuaran branch annual general meeting held on Saturday was disrupted by an unexpected motion calling for disciplinary action, including the expulsion of former deputy president Rafizi Ramli.

The proposal was reportedly tabled by Tuaran branch chief Razeef Rakimin, who claimed that Rafizi had already been issued two show-cause letters but no concrete action had followed. The motion quickly drew attention among delegates attending the meeting.

Razeef also criticised the party’s disciplinary approach, urging PKR not to appear weak in enforcing its own rules. He stressed that show-cause letters should not be treated lightly or turned into what he described as a subject of ridicule, warning that internal processes must be taken seriously.

He further alleged that Rafizi’s outspoken remarks had crossed what some senior leaders considered “red lines” under the party constitution, yet no firm disciplinary steps had been taken. According to him, this inconsistency raised concerns over enforcement within the party structure.

Razeef then put forward a formal proposal calling for Rafizi’s expulsion if it is proven that he had violated the party constitution.

When contacted by Sinar Harian, Razeef confirmed that the matter had indeed been raised during the meeting, adding further weight to what is seen as growing internal tension within the party’s grassroots leadership.
