Four Men Nabbed At PGA Roadblock After 1kg Cannabis Seizure In Pos Serongga

Date:

Four men were arrested by the General Operations Force (PGA) after authorities discovered one kilogram of cannabis during a roadblock operation at Pos Serongga, according to police.

The seizure was made around 10.45pm during an inspection believed to be linked to an attempt to transport drugs to the Klang Valley for what suspects allegedly described as a “new market trial”.

Brigade Commander of the PGA Eastern Brigade Senior Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Radzi Hussain said officers initially detected suspicious movements involving a Honda CRV and a motorcycle near a roadside stall before trailing the vehicles for about five kilometres.

Upon inspection, police found a red bag containing cannabis inside the vehicle. Authorities also seized a Honda CRV, a motorcycle, five mobile phones, clothing items and two helmets, with the total value of seizures estimated at RM137,700.

All four suspects, aged between 23 and 35, later tested positive for methamphetamine following urine screening.

Police said the drugs are believed to have been smuggled from Thailand via illegal crossing points. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.
