Melania Trump Threatens $1 Billion Lawsuit Against Hunter Biden Over Epstein Claim

Date:

First Lady Melania Trump is threatening to sue Hunter Biden for over $1 billion after he claimed she was introduced to her husband, former President Donald Trump, by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Lawyers representing the First Lady described Biden’s claim as “false, disparaging, defamatory, and inflammatory,” demanding he retract the statement and issue an apology or face legal action.

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, made the comments during a recent interview, where he criticized Donald Trump’s past connections with Epstein. The First Lady’s legal team says the claim has caused “overwhelming financial and reputational harm” and accused Biden of using others’ names to draw attention to himself.

During the interview with filmmaker Andrew Callaghan, Hunter Biden claimed unreleased Epstein documents could “implicate” Trump and said, “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump – the connections are so wide and deep.” The legal letter points out that his claim was partially based on an article by journalist Michael Wolff, which has since been retracted and removed by The Daily Beast after Melania Trump’s attorneys challenged its accuracy.

There is no evidence that Epstein introduced Melania Trump to her future husband. According to a 2016 Harper’s Bazaar profile, Melania met Donald Trump in November 1998 at a party hosted by a modelling agency founder. At the time, Trump had recently separated from his second wife, Marla Maples.

The First Lady’s attorney, Alejandro Brito, stated that they are seeking “immediate retractions and apologies by those who spread malicious, defamatory falsehoods.” The letter comes amid ongoing public interest in previously undisclosed Epstein-related documents, which Trump had promised to release if re-elected.

Authorities have confirmed there is no evidence of an “incriminating” client list of Epstein associates, and the matter remains under legal scrutiny.
