A mother took to social media to voice her outrage after her 8-year-old daughter was bullied at school—her classmate actually cut her hair, claiming they “hated seeing her.” When the mother raised the issue in the school’s parent-teacher WhatsApp group, the teacher reportedly shut down the group, leaving her frustrated and asking, “How are we supposed to resolve this?”
The mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said her daughter is quiet and rarely reports incidents at school. The bullying only came to light when the mother noticed her daughter’s hair was shorter while helping her put on a headscarf. Under gentle questioning, her daughter revealed the incident.
This was not an isolated case. The mother disclosed that her daughter had previously had her pocket money taken, her lunch eaten by classmates, and over 10 water bottles gone missing. She also reported that her daughter had been pinched and forced to help classmates with homework.
“I send my daughter to school to learn, not to be someone else’s servant,” the mother wrote. “She is introverted and quiet—how could she possibly be bothering anyone?” She added that her daughter never complains at school and usually remains silent about what happens to her.
After the WhatsApp group was shut down, her husband immediately contacted the teachers directly. The mother explained that her intention in posting was to alert other parents so their children wouldn’t fall victim as well.
“Before this, I overlooked other incidents,” she said, “but now it involves my child’s physical and mental well-being. Should I continue to stay silent?”
She revealed that her daughter had reportedly been bullied since first grade and urged the school principal to follow through on promises made during a previous meeting to investigate the matter. The post has drawn widespread attention online, with some netizens suggesting the family report the bullying to the authorities.
