James Chai Questioned By MACC For Over Eight Hours Over RM1.11 Billion Semiconductor Project Probe

Political analyst James Chai was questioned for over eight hours by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today as part of investigations into a government-linked RM1.11 billion semiconductor project.

Chai, who previously served as an aide to former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, arrived at the MACC headquarters at 9.59am to give his statement and was seen leaving the premises at about 6.30pm.

Authorities are understood to be gathering information in relation to the large-scale semiconductor initiative, though further details of the investigation have not been disclosed at this stage.
