A British strongman has claimed a world first after pulling a two-tonne police car along a street with his penis while being set on fire, in a stunt carried out in West Yorkshire.
John Stephenson, a 50-year-old martial artist and former bare-knuckle fighter, pulled a French police vehicle around 40 metres using his penis on April 30, saying the feat was part of a series of extreme challenges he has undertaken in recent months.
Stephenson said the stunt combined two previous record attempts involving pulling vehicles while on fire and using extreme body strength techniques where he pulled a car using his testicles. He described the experience as painful but said he remained focused throughout the attempt.
“I won’t lie, it did hurt quite a bit,” he said, adding that he continued despite difficult conditions, including wind and repeated attempts to complete the pull.
He claimed the challenge was a world first and said it formed part of his broader efforts to raise awareness for men’s mental health, prostate cancer, and anti-bullying initiatives. He is also fundraising for a children’s cancer charity in Huddersfield.
Stephenson, who has previously performed similar extreme stunts involving vehicles and fire, said he enjoys pushing physical limits and has set multiple unofficial records in strength and endurance-based challenges.
Authorities have not indicated any investigation into the stunt, though such activities typically require strict safety precautions due to the high risk involved.
