A lone masked robber armed with a knife stormed a 24-hour convenience store in the early hours of the morning, forcing four female staff members to hand over cash from the register during a frightening hold-up.
The incident occurred at around 4am at a convenience store located along the 7th mile area. According to reports, the outlet has reportedly been targeted by robbers on previous occasions.
During the incident, the suspect, described as a man wearing clothing to conceal his face while exposing only his eyes, allegedly entered the premises and brandished a knife at the employees. He then demanded that they open the cash register and surrender the money.
Fearing for their safety, the staff complied with the robber’s instructions and handed over the available cash. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported as the suspect appeared to be focused solely on stealing money.
After taking the cash, the suspect fled the scene immediately. The shaken employees later contacted the police to report the incident.
Authorities arrived shortly after and began investigations at the scene. Police have since reviewed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the store and are working to identify the suspect.
