Doctors Warn: 3 Things To Avoid Before Intimacy For Better Sexual Experience

Date:

Medical experts have advised that certain common habits should be avoided before intimacy with a partner, as they may affect both physical comfort and the overall experience.

According to Dr Jane Cordel from Philadelphia, United States, while personal preferences differ between couples, there are several factors that could negatively impact sexual health and should be taken into consideration.

One of the key warnings involves antihistamine medications such as Diphenhydramine (commonly known as Benadryl). Doctors say these drugs may cause dryness in the body, including vaginal dryness, which can lead to discomfort or pain during intercourse due to reduced natural lubrication.

Another concern highlighted is shaving pubic hair immediately before sexual activity. Medical experts explain that freshly shaved skin can become sensitive, irritated or inflamed, and friction during intercourse may worsen the discomfort. It is generally recommended to allow time for the skin to heal before engaging in sexual activity.

The third factor is excessive alcohol consumption. While small amounts of alcohol may help some individuals relax, doctors warn that overconsumption can negatively affect sexual performance, particularly in men, and may contribute to erectile dysfunction.

Health professionals stress that moderation is key in daily lifestyle choices, including alcohol intake, and that avoiding unnecessary medication use or last-minute grooming can help prevent discomfort during intimacy.

Overall, experts recommend maintaining balance and awareness of one’s physical condition to ensure a safer and more comfortable intimate experience for both partners.
