A woman has been arrested in Thailand after allegedly crashing her car into her husband’s motorcycle, killing him at the scene before reportedly getting out of the vehicle and stomping on his face in a violent roadside attack in Saraburi province.
The incident occurred on May 6, 2026, along Phaholyothin Road in Muang district, where police from Muang Saraburi Police Station were alerted to a serious collision involving a sedan and a motorcycle. Rescue teams from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation also rushed to the scene to assist.
At the location, officers found a Yamaha Fino motorcycle badly damaged and a Honda Jazz sedan with severe front-end impact damage approximately 50 metres away. The force of the crash had reportedly thrown the victim onto the car’s windscreen before he landed on the road.
The victim, a 38-year-old man identified as Mr Apisit, was found unconscious and suffering from severe injuries including a broken leg. Despite attempts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, a 42-year-old woman believed to be his wife, initially fled but later turned herself in to police.
According to investigators, CCTV footage showed the woman allegedly ramming her vehicle into the motorcycle before stopping, exiting her car, and attacking the injured man. Authorities are treating the footage as key evidence in the case.
Police said the suspect later admitted to the act, claiming long-standing financial disputes and emotional conflict within the relationship. She reportedly stated that she had previously supported the victim financially, including spending large sums of money, but tensions escalated after he attempted to distance himself from her.
Relatives of the deceased told police that the couple had a history of frequent arguments and domestic conflict, with allegations of threats and violence in the past. They said financial strain and relationship breakdown appeared to be major contributing factors.
Investigators have taken the suspect into custody and are continuing to gather evidence, including CCTV recordings and witness statements, as they prepare to pursue legal action over the fatal incident.
