Singaporean Couple Burnt Alive After Ferrari Crashes And Catches Fire In Johor

A Singaporean couple were killed after the Ferrari they were travelling in lost control, crashed and caught fire along Jalan Johor Bahru-Mersing in Kota Tinggi on Saturday.

Kota Tinggi police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said authorities received information about the incident from members of the public at around 9am.

He said the accident occurred at Kilometre 57.5 of the road and involved a Ferrari driven by a 34-year-old Singaporean man, with a 33-year-old woman seated in the front passenger seat.

The couple were reportedly travelling from Johor Bahru towards Mersing when the vehicle is believed to have veered off the road before crashing and bursting into flames.

Both victims suffered severe burn injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their bodies have since been sent to the Forensic Unit at Kota Tinggi Hospital for further investigation procedures.

Police said the case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
