The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has expressed hope that the state government will continue prioritising the welfare of Selangor residents amid economic challenges arising from the crisis in West Asia.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the matter was conveyed during his audience with the ruler at Istana Alam Shah in Klang, which was also attended by Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar.
According to Amirudin, he also briefed the Sultan on the progress of the Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package, an initiative aimed at assisting the people and business sectors affected by the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
In a statement on Thursday, Amirudin prayed for Sultan Sharafuddin and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor to be blessed with good health, wisdom, guidance and continued strength in leading the state with sovereignty and dignity.
