Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today took a swipe at certain politicians, saying they have drifted away from their original political struggles and now complain more loudly than small traders.
According to Berita Harian, Anwar expressed admiration for the resilience of small-scale traders, noting that they tend to voice fewer complaints compared to larger business players and some politicians.
“In reality, complaints from small traders are very minimal. It is the big players who complain more, and the loudest are politicians who have strayed from their struggle,” he reportedly said during a visit to the Taman Melawati farmers’ market today.
He added that small traders generally remain focused on their work and do not spend time on constant grievances, unlike certain political figures.
When asked further about political matters, Anwar declined to comment in detail.
“No politics today,” he said jokingly, adding, “Politics can wait while we eat nasi dagang.”
