Malaysia has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic ties with India in efforts to drive mutual economic growth, regional progress and a more inclusive and sustainable future for both nations.

Human Resources Minister R Ramanan expressed the commitment during a courtesy visit by Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia B N Reddy, who is set to conclude his diplomatic service in the country.

Ramanan extended his appreciation for the envoy’s contributions in enhancing bilateral relations and fostering stronger cooperation between Malaysia and India throughout his tenure.

“I would like to record my highest appreciation for his commitment and major role in strengthening friendship and strategic cooperation between Malaysia and India during his service,” he said in a Facebook statement on Monday.

According to Ramanan, the meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the future direction of collaboration as Malaysia and India continue to expand their roles as comprehensive strategic partners.

He said B N Reddy had not only strengthened diplomatic and economic cooperation but also built a relationship based on mutual respect and trust between the two countries.

The growing partnership between Malaysia and India is expected to focus on wider economic collaboration, workforce development and regional stability as both nations continue deepening bilateral engagement.
