The victim, Superintendent Yuslimezam Hashim, who served as the Head of Logistics at the Pahang Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK Pahang), died at the scene after suffering severe head injuries in the crash.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the 51-year-old officer was riding alone from Alor Setar, Kedah, and was travelling towards the Pahang Police Contingent Headquarters when the tragedy unfolded.

According to police, the crash happened when Yuslimezam was negotiating a left-hand bend along the Batang Kali route heading towards Genting Highlands. He is believed to have lost control of his motorcycle before veering into the opposite lane and colliding with an oncoming lorry driven by a 50-year-old man.

The impact proved fatal, and the officer was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later transported to Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the lorry driver sustained minor injuries to his face and chest and received medical treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 to determine the exact cause of the accident.
