Haggling is a normal part of buying and selling, but sometimes, certain buyers can cross the line—especially when they show no respect during negotiations.
A woman recently shared her experience on social media after encountering a rude buyer while trying to sell her preloved handbag.
“I was selling a **** handbag for RM200. I originally bought it for RM300. Then someone asked to pay only RM100,” she explained.
The buyer reportedly messaged her: “I want to buy it for RM100… that’s my final offer. If you don’t agree, the bag will definitely not sell.” The message left no room for discussion, as the buyer simply demanded the price be lowered.
Frustrated by the buyer’s audacity, the seller replied with a sarcastic but firm message: “Sorry, I’m not in a rush to sell, and I’m not desperate for money.” Just ten minutes later, someone else bought the bag at the original RM200 price.
To further prove the buyer wrong, the seller sent a receipt of the sale to show that another customer had purchased the bag at the listed price. “You can try your luck, but let’s make it a win-win situation. Respect people,” she concluded in her post.
The post gained widespread support online, with many netizens praising her for standing her ground. Users shared similar experiences and advised that buyers should always negotiate politely and respectfully.
Comments included:
- “Not everyone is desperate to sell just because they want money. Some buyers need to learn manners.”
- “If you want to ask for a lower price, apologize politely and ask if the seller can consider it, instead of being rude.”
The post serves as a reminder that while bargaining is common, mutual respect is key in any transaction.
