His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has shared constructive views and guidance on the future development of Kuala Lumpur, stressing the importance of strong governance, efficient public service delivery and continuous improvements to the quality of life for city residents.
In a broader context, urban development in major cities increasingly requires a balanced approach that integrates infrastructure growth with social wellbeing and sustainable planning.
According to a Facebook post by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, the King consistently places strong emphasis on rakyat welfare and balanced development to ensure that all policies and implementation efforts benefit the wider society.
The views were conveyed during an audience granted to Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh at Istana Negara today.
During the meeting, His Majesty also received a briefing on the Kuala Lumpur Reform initiative, which covers areas such as security and urban planning.
Also present were Federal Territories Department director-general Datuk Muhammad Azmi Mohd Zain and Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Fadlun Mak Ujud.
