Taylor’s University in Subang Jaya was evacuated on Friday following what the institution described as a “security incident”, prompting an immediate emergency response and heightened alert on campus.
In a statement, a university spokesperson said emergency protocols were activated as a precautionary measure, with close coordination established with relevant authorities.
“The safety of our students, staff, and visitors remains our highest priority. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available,” the spokesperson said.
Police in Subang Jaya have been contacted for further details, according to reports.
The evacuation comes just a day after a separate incident at Monash University’s Subang Jaya campus, which was also cleared following an alleged bomb threat.
In that case, the campus was temporarily shut down while police conducted a thorough security sweep before declaring the premises safe for operations to resume.
