Seven Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash On Pan Borneo Highway

Seven people sustained minor injuries in a road accident involving two four-wheel-drive vehicles along the Pan Borneo Highway near Rumah Jampi, Jalan Suai-Niah, Bintulu–Miri stretch on Sunday afternoon.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre said it received an emergency call regarding the incident at about 3.10pm before firefighters from Batu Niah station were dispatched to the scene.

The collision involved two Toyota Hilux vehicles, one black carrying three occupants including two women and a man, and another silver vehicle with four passengers comprising two men and two women.

Upon arrival, firefighters conducted an initial assessment and confirmed that all injured victims had already been taken to a nearby clinic for treatment.

No rescue operation was carried out as all victims had been removed from the scene and received medical attention prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

Authorities are expected to continue monitoring the situation as investigations into the cause of the crash proceed.
