Johor Needs Execution, Not Promises, Says TMJ

Date:

Johor Crown Prince Tunku Mahkota Ismail has stressed that the state administration is being closely monitored to ensure all policies, projects and directives are properly implemented without delay.

His Royal Highness said the monitoring process is taken seriously, adding that he regularly seeks direct updates from Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and the State Secretary whenever matters remain unresolved.

“If work is not done, you can ask the Menteri Besar, you can ask the State Secretary,” he said during the Bual Santai Petang Podcast with Orang Muda Johor on Saturday.

The Crown Prince revealed that he even makes late-night calls, sometimes as late as 3am, to follow up on outstanding matters and ensure progress is being made.

He cautioned against any attempts to portray the Johor government as ineffective, saying such claims do not reflect the actual situation on the ground.

“Don’t come here and talk nonsense as if the people are not being served well or the government is not working,” he said.

“I monitor my government. I make sure this government does its job.”

TMJ further emphasised that Johor does not need politics based on empty promises or theatrics, but rather leadership that focuses on execution and tangible results for the people.

“I don’t like promises or fairy tales. I prefer implementation. When there is a vision, it must be executed,” he said.

He added that citizens should judge governments based on facts, performance, and delivery rather than rhetoric.

The Crown Prince also noted that while it is easy to criticise as an opposition, governing requires capability and responsibility when entrusted with power.

“To find issues and faults as the opposition is easy,” he said. “But when you are given the mandate to govern, not everyone can manage it.”
