Horror On Highway: Several Feared Dead In Fiery Six-Vehicle Crash

Date:

Several people are feared dead following a devastating multi-vehicle crash involving four lorries and two cars along the North-South Expressway near Kulai on Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred at approximately 8am on the southbound carriageway between Sedenak and Kulai, triggering a massive traffic jam after the vehicles burst into flames.

Authorities have yet to officially confirm the number of casualties, but fears are mounting that the fiery collision may have claimed multiple lives.

Dramatic images and videos circulating on social media showed several lorries and cars completely engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising high into the air and visible from a considerable distance.

The severity of the blaze has shocked motorists, with many sharing footage of the aftermath online as emergency services rushed to the scene.

PLUS Malaysia Berhad, in an initial traffic update, confirmed that the accident was causing severe congestion along both directions of the expressway.

Emergency responders, including firefighters, medical personnel and highway authorities, were immediately deployed to manage the situation and assist any victims trapped in the wreckage.

Major highway accidents involving heavy vehicles often result in significant traffic disruption and complex rescue operations, particularly when fires break out following impact.

Authorities are currently working to extinguish the fire, clear the affected stretch of road and determine the full extent of the damage and casualties.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are expected to begin once the scene has been secured.

This remains a developing story and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
