Four Rubber Plantation Workers Remanded Over Gruesome Kelantan River Murder

Four rubber plantation workers have been remanded for seven days starting today to assist in the investigation of a murder case involving a man whose body was found in the Kelantan River near the Sultan Yahya Petra Bridge on August 24.

The remand order, issued by Magistrate Rais Imran Hamid, applies to all four men in their 50s and allows the police to investigate under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Earlier reports stated that the unidentified man’s body, showing slash wounds on the neck, was found floating near the riverbank close to the Sultan Yahya Petra Bridge.

Kota Bharu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud, said the body, which had begun to swell, was discovered at 6:30 p.m.
